Tapolca
Tapolca (; ) is a town in Veszprém County, Hungary, close to Lake Balaton. It is located at around . The town has an outer suburb, Tapolca-Diszel, approximately 5 km to the East. Etymology The origin of ''Tapolca'' is disputed, originating either from the Hungarian language, Hungarian ''Tapolcza'', meaning "high place", or from the Slavic languages, Slavic ''Toplica''/''Teplica'' meaning "hot springs". It was also known as ''Turul'' or ''Turultapolca'' at some points in the Middle Ages. Notable sights The Lake Cave This 3 km long lake cave system is situated in the heart of the town. It was opened to the public in 1912, ten years after its discovery. Small boats can be hired to explore the cave system. The 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2017–18 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 119th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Budapest Honvéd FC, Honvéd were the defending champions, having won their fourteenth Hungarian league title.
