Csaba Őry
Dr Csaba Őry (born 12 May 1952, in Budapest) is a Hungarian politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) with the Fidesz, part of the European People's Party. He sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Őry is a substitute for the Committee on Development and a member of the Delegation to the EU-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee. Personal life He is married. His wife is Tamara Illényi. They have two daughters, Katalin and Annamária. 2004 European Parliament Election In Hungary
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. The Arabs' 4 still had the early concept of the cross, but for the sake of efficiency, was made in one stroke by connecting the "western" end to the "northern" end; the "eastern" end was finished off with a curve. A member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. When the European Parliament (then known as the Common Assembly of the European Coal and Steel Community) first met in 1952, its members were directly appointed by the governments of member states from among those already sitting in their own national parliaments. Since 1979, however, MEPs have been elected by direct universal suffrage every five years. Each member state establishes its own method for electing MEPs – and in some states this has changed over time – but the system chosen must be a form of proportional representation.
