Croydon Park is a north-western suburb of Adelaide 5.9 km from the CBD, in the state of South Australia, Australia and is within the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. It is adjacent to Dudley Park, Devon Park, Renown Park, Regency Park, Ferryden Park Kilkenny, and West Croydon. The post code for Croydon Park is 5008. It is bounded to the south by Lamont Street and Torrens Road, to the north by Regency Road and in the east and west by Harrison Road and Goodall Avenue respectively. Croydon is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. Named after the suburb of Croydon, it is a suburban electorate in Adelaide's inner north-west. In addition to Croydon, it includes Angle Park, Athol Park, Bowden, Brompton, Croydon Park, Devon Park, Dudley Park, Ferryden Park, Kilkenny, Mansfield Park, Regency Park, Renown Park, Ridleyton, West Croydon, Woodville Gardens; and parts of Allenby Gardens, Welland, and West Hindmarsh. Croydon was created in the 1998 electoral distribution as a safe Labor seat, replacing the abolished Spence. Torrens Road is an arterial road in the northwestern suburbs of Adelaide, Australia. The road is aligned southeast to northwest and is parallel with Port Road for most of its length. Route It commences at the City Ring Route along the edge of North Adelaide, and heads northwest. Major roads that intersect Torrens Road include Churchill Road (A22), South Road, and Regency Road. Croydon FC, formerly known as Croydon Kings, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club in Adelaide, South Australia. Croydon FC currently competes in the National Premier Leagues South Australia. They play home games at Polonia Reserve at Croydon in Adelaide's inner northern suburbs. Brompton is an inner-northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Charles Sturt. History Brompton was established in June 1849 and quickly grew.
