Crooked Colours
Crooked Colours is the alternative dance project of Australian singer, songwriter and music producer Philip Leonard Slabber (born 14 February 1991) . Based in Fremantle, Western Australia, the project is signed to record label Sweat It Out. Slabber originally conceived the project with fellow producer Leon Debaughn in Perth in 2013. Later joined by drummer Liam Merrett-Park. The project's first album ''Vera'' was released in June 2017. Their sophomore album ''Langata'' was released in 2019. Touring Crooked Colours has performed at many festivals and events including: Groovin The Moo, Spilt Milk, Beyond The Valley, Falls Festival, Bonnaroo, and Splendour In The Grass. The Australian Independent Record Awards (commonly known as AIR Awards) is an annual awards night to recognise, promote and celebrate the success of Australia's Independent Music sector. Harry Michael (born 12 February 1991), known professionally as Masked Wolf, is an Australian rapper from Sydney, New South Wales. Triple J is an Australian government-funded national radio station founded in 1975 as a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It aims to appeal to young listeners of alternative music, and plays far more Australian content than commercial networks. The station was set up under the Gough Whitlam government, wanting to extend the appeal of the ABC to young Australians. Phillipa Margaret "Pip" Brown (born 13 July 1979), better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
