A men's cricket event was held as part of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from 27 September to 7 October 2023. Fourteen team competed in the event, and the participating teams were seeded according to their T20I rankings as of 1 June 2023. India won the Gold Medal, while Afghanistan finished as runners-up. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is a sports governing body, governing body of sports in Asia, currently with 45 member National Olympic Committees. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was elected as President of the OCA on 8 July 2023. Fareed Ahmad (born 10 August 1994) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against the United Arab Emirates on 2 December 2014. He competed at the 2014 Asian Games. Afif Hossain Dhrubo (Bengali: আফিফ হোসেন ধ্রুব; born 22 September 1999) is a Bangladeshi cricketer.
