Crescent School (Toronto)
Crescent School is an independent elementary and secondary boys' school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It teaches boys from Grades 3 to 12. Established in 1913 by John William James, the school moved to their current campus at 2365 Bayview Avenue in 1970. In 2021, Crescent acquired the Bob Rumball Centre property at 2395 Bayview Avenue. History Crescent School was founded in September 1913 by its first headmaster, John William James. He opened his school to a group of boys at his home at 43 Rosedale Road. In 1933, Susan Massey ( Denton), the aunt of Vincent Massey (who served as Governor General of Canada in the 1950s), donated her mansion and 40 acres of land to the school, making its expansion possible. The mansion and land were located on part of the Massey family's farm in East York, near Victoria Park Avenue and Dawes Road. Bayview Avenue
Bayview Avenue is a major north–south route in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario. North of Toronto, in Regional Municipality of York, York Region, Bayview is designated as List of numbered roads in York Region, York Regional Road 34. It is 46 km (29 mi) long. History Bayview Avenue follows the first concession line, laid east of Yonge Street. Over time, the concession road became known as East York Avenue, a reference to the division it formed between the city of Toronto and the township of East York. Neil Lumsden
Neil James Lumsden (born December 19, 1952) is a Canadian politician and retired professional football player. Lumsden was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2022 provincial election. He serves as Minister of Sport. Lumsden played his entire professional career in the Canadian Football League (CFL), mostly as a fullback and also as a running back for the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Edmonton Eskimos from 1976 to 1985. Rob Stewart (December 28, 1979 – January 31, 2017) was a Canadian photographer, filmmaker and shark conservationist. He was best known for making and directing the documentary films '' Sharkwater'' and ''Revolution''. He drowned at the age of 37 while scuba diving in Florida, filming '' Sharkwater Extinction''. Jason Charles Beck (born 20 March 1972), professionally known as Chilly Gonzales or just Gonzales, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer. Currently based in Cologne, Germany, he previously lived for several years in Paris and Berlin. Gonzales’ career spans numerous genres.
