County Route 1 was designated to run from the Mercer County, New Jersey, Mercer County line via Freehold Borough, New Jersey, Freehold Borough and Eatontown, New Jersey, Eatontown to the Long Branch, New Jersey, Long Branch city limits. County Route 522 (New Jersey)
County Route 522 (CR 522) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Route 27 in South Brunswick Township to Main Street ( CR 537) in Freehold Borough. Route description CR 522 begins at an intersection with Route 27 on the border of South Brunswick, Middlesex County and Franklin Township, Somerset County. Unsigned, it travels along the divided Promenade Boulevard where it provides access to numerous condominium developments. It crosses U.S. Route 1 (US 1) then passes through forested areas near a few residential subdivisions, turning southeast and passing over Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. Following the bridge, the route enters residential areas and intersects CR 681 and CR 697 before coming to an intersection with US 130. Neptune City is a Borough (New Jersey), borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 4,626, a decrease of 244 (−5.0%) from the 2010 United States census, 2010 census count of 4,869, which in turn reflected a decline of 349 (−6.7%) from the 5,218 counted in the 2000 United States census, 2000 census. The Borough of Neptune City was incorporated on October 4, 1881, based on a referendum held on March 19, 1881. County Route 527 (CR 527) is a county route in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Main Street ( Route 166 and CR 549) in Toms River to Pompton Avenue ( Route 23) in Cedar Grove. It passes through more counties (six) than any other county route in New Jersey. CR 527 is also the second longest 500-series county route in New Jersey after CR 519. The county route traverses through the northernmost stretches of the Pine Barrens in South Jersey, much of the Raritan Valley and Rahway Valley regions in Central Jersey (providing access to Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Rutgers-New Brunswick, Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park, Watchung Reservation, and South Mountain Reservation), and the First and Second Watchung Mountains in North Jersey. County Route 549 (New Jersey)
County Route 549 (CR 549) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Main Street ( Route 166) and Water Street ( CR 527) in Toms River to Lakewood-Farmimgdale Road ( CR 547) and Old Tavern Road ( CR 21) in Howell Township. The highway is the only 500-series route left with two separate spur routes. The highway passes through Ocean and Monmouth counties and is maintained by each respective county, but there are several indications that the highway at one point may have been or was originally planned to be state maintained. There are a few mileposts left along the southern section of the highway that have a "NJDT" label on the bottom right corner. Also, the only at-grade cloverleaf in New Jersey exists on CR 549, and on the bridges there exists a stamp in the concrete that reads "1975". CR 549 mostly travels through Ocean County.
