Pamela Cosman is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. She has conducted a pioneering research on the quality of compressed images for application in medical diagnostic imaging. At UCSD, Cosman currently researches ways to improve wireless video transmission. Early life and education Pamela C. Milein Cosman
Emilie Cosman, known as Milein Cosman, (31 March 1921 – 21 November 2017) was a German-born artist based in England. She is best known for her drawings and prints of leading cultural figures, dancers and musicians in action, such as Francis Bacon, Mikhail Baryshnikov, T. S. Eliot and Igor Stravinsky. Biography Milein Cosman was born in Gotha, Germany, in 1921, but spent most of her childhood in Düsseldorf. Because of her Jewish background and the rise of National Socialism, she went to school in Switzerland, at the Ecole d'Humanité and the International School of Geneva between 1937 and 1939. She came to England in 1939. Between 1939 and 1942, Cosman studied at the Slade School of Art. Madeleine Pelner Cosman (December 4, 1937 – March 2, 2006) was an academic writer-researcher, policy analyst and advocate. She long held faculty membership at City College of New York. As a medical lawyer, educator and healthcare policy guru, she testified before Congress, wrote 15 books and buttressed politicians' arguments against mass immigration. James Henry Cosman (February 19, 1943 – January 7, 2013) was an American professional baseball pitcher who appeared in Major League Baseball over parts of three seasons for the – St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. A right-hander, he was listed as tall and . Cosman was a native of Brockport in Western New York; he graduated from Father Ryan High School in Nashville and attended Middle Tennessee State University, signing with the Cardinals in 1963. In 1966, after completing his fourth year in the Redbird farm system, he was a late-season call-up and, in his MLB debut on the season's last day, threw a complete game, two-hit shutout against the Cubs at Busch Memorial Stadium; the only safeties he surrendered were singles to Ron Santo in the second inning and Glenn Beckert in the ninth. Francene Jen Cosman (born January 14, 1941) is a former nurse, businessperson and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. She represented Bedford-Fall River in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1993 to 1999 as a Nova Scotia Liberal Party, Liberal member. Cosman was born in 1941 at Windsor, Ontario and received her registered nurse, R.N. from Saint John General Hospital in New Brunswick and continued her studies at the Margaret Hague school in Jersey City, New Jersey. Cosman Citroen (26 August 1881 – 15 May 1935) was a Dutch architect. He designed buildings in the Dutch East Indies including the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company. Early life Citroen was the son of Levie Citroen (born on November 12, 1855), a diamond cutter in Amsterdam, and Sara Levie Coltof (born on February 26, 1852). The family included six children. Career Citroen took an architectural education at the State Normal School in Amsterdam and obtained his degree for teacher MO engineering. For the next thirteen years (1902 to 1915) he worked in the architectural firm of J.F. Klinkhamer and B.J. Ouëndag.
