Corpus Christi–Kingsville Combined Statistical Area
The Corpus Christi–Kingsville–Alice Combined Statistical Area is made up of six counties in South Texas. The statistical area consists of the Corpus Christi Metropolitan Statistical Area, the Kingsville Micropolitan Statistical Area, and the Alice Micropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the CSA had a population of 501,500 (though a July 1, 2013 estimate placed the population at 516,793). South Texas
South Texas is a geographic and cultural region of the U.S. state of Texas that lies roughly south of—and includes—San Antonio. The southern and western boundary is the Rio Grande, and to the east it is the Gulf of Mexico. The population of this region is more than 5 million according to the 2024 census estimates. Robstown, Texas
Robstown is a city in Nueces County, Texas, of the United States of America, and is a western suburb of Corpus Christi, Texas, Corpus Christi. It was founded in 1907 by a land speculator from Keota, Iowa by the name of George H. Paul. Paul purchased 10,410.43 acres of the Driscoll Ranch located north of the Texas-Mexican Railroad built in 1875. The population was 10,143 as of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Mathis, Texas
Mathis is a city in San Patricio County, Texas, United States. Its population was 4,333 at the 2020 census. History In 1887, when the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad was laying tracks across San Patricio County, Thomas H. Mathis received naming rights when he donated for a townsite and school. Mathis and his brother J. M. Mathis, held in the vicinity. The brothers had dropped out of the Coleman, Mathis, Fulton Cattle Company in 1879. Thomas Mathis owned an additional around Mathis and built a fence enclosing the town. As late as 1906, Mathis was enclosed and arriving and departing trains had to be let in and out. Fulton, Texas
Fulton is a town in Aransas County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, this South Texas coastal fishing community had a population of 1,523. The town is named for George Ware Fulton, a land developer in the area. History Fulton was founded in 1866, and named by George Ware Fulton, Sr., whose wife Harriet Smith Fulton inherited on the northern end of the Live Oak Peninsula, including the area where Mr. Fulton created the town he named for himself. Fulton had been a teacher in Indiana and decided to come to Texas by flatboat with 60 other men during the war for independence between Texas and Mexico.
