Corey Reynolds (born July 3, 1974) is an American actor known for originating the role of Seaweed in the Broadway theatre, Broadway adaptation of ''Hairspray (musical), Hairspray'', as well as the roles of David Gabriel in the Turner Network Television, TNT crime series ''The Closer'', and Sheriff Mike Thompson in the SyFy/USA Network TV series ''Resident Alien (TV series), Resident Alien''. Early life and career Reynolds was born in Richmond, Virginia, where he attended Monacan High School before moving to California to pursue his acting career. He got his start at Paramount Kings Dominion performing in various shows. World Class Wreckin' Cru was an American electro group, during the 1980s in the Los Angeles area, that contributed to rap's development. Two of its members, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, attained greater fame as members of N.W.A, which pioneered gangsta rap. A song by the Cru had also featured R&B singer Michel'le.
