Corey Fisher
Anthony Guy Corey Fisher (born April 8, 1988) is an American-Georgian professional basketball player who last played for Vichy-Clermont of the LNB Pro B. A point guard, he attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Fisher decided on Villanova due to its combination of athletics and academics. Fisher played high school basketball for St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he was a Parade All-American in 2007. Early life Fisher was born in The Bronx, New York to Corey Wilson and Kiesha Fisher. Fisher grew up in the Castle Hill Houses, 14 tall brick buildings located in The Bronx. His father lived in a different building in the complex than Corey, his brothers, Ivan and Isaiah; and their mother. Fisher has said that he often spent time in the nearby playgrounds playing basketball, and was dubbed a "playground legend" after his 105-point game on August 7, 2010. The Villanova Wildcats men's basketball program represent Villanova University in men's college basketball and competes in the Big East Conference of NCAA Division I. Their first season was the 1920–21 season. Guy Fisher
Guy Thomas Fisher (born July 21, 1947) is an American former mobster and drug lord who was once part of " The Council", an African-American crime organization that controlled the heroin trade in Harlem from 1972 to 1983. He became the first black man to own and operate the Apollo Theater in Harlem when he purchased it in 1977. On October 28, 2020, Guy Fisher was released from federal custody on a medical pardon. Arrest and conviction In 1984, Fisher was convicted of multiple counts of RICO violations, including continuing criminal conspiracy, drug trafficking, and murder, and was sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole. Fisher's conviction was facilitated by the testimony of his former mentor, associate, and rival, Leroy "Nicky" Barnes. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promoted to the top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A.
