Corey Enright
Corey Enright (born 14 September 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He has played the second-most games for . Enright is currently defence coach at St Kilda, after coaching at Geelong from 2017 to 2020. Early life Enright grew up in the town of Kimba, South Australia and played for the Kimba District Tigers in the Eastern Eyre Football League. He was recruited from the Port Adelaide Magpies, selected by Geelong with the 47th overall pick in the 1999 National Draft. Playing career Like many of his teammates, Enright was outstanding in 2007. He was among the Cats best in the Grand Final win over Port Adelaide, gathering 29 possessions. The 2008 season saw Enright become a household name with his first All-Australian selection. Kimba, South Australia
Kimba is a rural service town on the Eyre Highway at the top of Eyre Peninsula in the Australian state of South Australia. At the 2016 census, Kimba had a population of 629 and it has an annual rainfall of . There is an tall statue of a galah beside the highway, marking halfway between the east and west coasts of Australia. The Gawler Ranges are north of the highway near the town. Kimba is located in the federal division of Grey, the state electoral district of Giles and the local government area of the District Council of Kimba. The word "kimba" is derived from the local Aboriginal word for "bushfire", and the District Council of Kimba's emblem reflects this in the form of a burning bush. Ian Nankervis
Ian James Nankervis (born 3 January 1948) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Nankervis played for Geelong for 17 seasons and was captain from 1978 to 1981, and again in 1983. Nankervis held the record of most senior level games for Geelong with 325 VFL games. Nankervis also represented Victoria at state level on 12 occasions. VFL career Nankervis was recruited from Barwon. Initially he played mainly as a forward pocket-rover, scoring a creditable 203 goals. He later developed into one of the finest back pockets in the VFL after then coach Rodney Olsson shifted him to that end of the ground Nankervis was awarded the club's best and fairest award, the Carji Greeves Medal on three occasions in 1972, 1976 and 1977 and captained the team from 1978 until 1982 (110 games).
