Cooper T57
The Cooper T57 (Type 57), also known as the Cooper T57 Monaco, or the Cooper Monaco T57, is a sports racing car, designed, developed and built by British manufacturer Cooper, in 1960, and was constructed as the successor model to the T49. It competed in motor racing between 1961 and 1965, and won a total of 26 races (plus 6 additional class wins), scored 43 podium finishes, and clinched 3 pole positions. Group 4 (racing)
Group 4 referred to regulations for sportscars and Grand tourer, grand touring (GT) cars used in sportscar racing, racing and rallying, as regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA. The group was introduced in 1954 and was replaced by Group B for the 1982 season. Production requirements Prior to 1966, the FIA's Group 4 classification applied to Sports Cars which were in compliance with FIA Appendix C regulations. It also included recognised Series Touring Cars, Improved Touring Cars and Grand Touring Cars which had been modified beyond the respective Group 1, Group 2 or Group 3 regulations under which they had been homologation (motorsport), homologated. Cooper T49
The Cooper T49 (Type 49), also known as the Cooper Monaco T49, or the Cooper T49 Monaco, is a lightweight Sports car racing, sports racing car, designed, developed and built by the British manufacturer Cooper Car Company, Cooper, in 1959. It was manufactured as the successor to the Cooper T39, Cooper T39 (more commonly known as the 'Bobtail'). It competed in motor racing between 1959 and 1966, and was extremely successful, as well as being very competitive. Cooper Car Company
The Cooper Car Company was a British car manufacturer founded in December 1947 by Charles Cooper and his son John Cooper. Together with John's boyhood friend, Eric Brandon, they began by building racing cars in Charles's small garage in Surbiton, Surrey, England, in 1946.
