The Town of Arena is a town located in Iowa County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,444 at the 2000 census. The Village of Arena is located within the town. The unincorporated communities of Coon Rock, and Helena are also located within the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 79.5 square miles (205.9 km2), of which 78.0 square miles (202.1 km2) is land and 1.5 square miles (3.8 km2, 1.84%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1,444 people, 545 households, and 419 families residing in the town. The population density was 18.5 people per square mile (7.1/km2). There were 617 housing units at an average density of 7.9 per square mile (3.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.10% White, 0.07% Black or African American, 0.48% Asian, 0.07% from other races, and 0.28% from two or more races. 0.69% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. ...
