Eliza Burton "Lyda" Conley ( – 1946) was a Wyandot-American lawyer of Native American and European descent, the first woman admitted to the Kansas Bar Association. She was notable for her campaign to prevent the sale and development of the Huron Cemetery in Kansas City, now known as the Wyandot National Burying Ground. She challenged the government in court, and in 1909 she was the first Native American woman admitted to argue a case before the Supreme Court of the United States. It was broadcast in the United Kingdom on ITV between 1992 and 1995, and then 2000 and 2002. Synopsis The show was commissioned following Conley's last successful comedy series, '' Brian Conley: This Way Up''. The show lasted for four series, although a live special was shown a year after the series ended, and a Christmas special aired a year after that. Shows were broadcast Saturdays on ITV between 22 February 1992 and 22 July 1995. Chip Conley (born October 31, 1960) is an American hotelier, hospitality entrepreneur, author, and speaker. Early life and education Conley was born in Orange, California and graduated from the PACE program at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. He received his BA in 1982 and an MBA in 1984 from Stanford University. He received an honorary doctorate from Saybrook University. In 1987, Conley founded Joie de Vivre Hospitality, where he held the position of CEO for nearly 24 years, creating and managing around 50 boutique hotels. David "Pic" Conley (born December 27, 1953) is an American jazz flute player, songwriter, and producer. Early life Conley was born in Newark, New Jersey. Shortly after graduating high school, Conley purchased his first instrument, a flute, for $10 with the idea of selling it for double price. Conley instead taught himself to play the instrument. Career Conley began his professional career when he moved to Los Angeles with the group Port Authority of Music, which included members David Townsend and Art McAllister in 1976. The group recorded an album produced by Ed Townsend, David Townsend's father. The group was signed to 20 Century Records, but the album was never released.
