Concord Records is an American record label owned by Concord and based in Los Angeles, California. Concord Records was launched in 1995 as an imprint designed to reach beyond the company's foundational Concord Jazz label. The label's artists have won 14 GRAMMY Awards and 88 GRAMMY nominations. The original logo, a stylized eighth note incorporating the C and J of "Concord Jazz", was created by Bay Area graphic designer Dan Buck, who also worked on several album covers for the company. Telarc International Corporation
Telarc International Corporation is an American audiophile independent record label founded in 1977 by two classically trained musicians and former teachers, Jack Renner and Robert Woods. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the label has had a long association with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra, as well as with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Although it started as a classical music label, Telarc has released jazz, blues and country music recordings. In 1996, Telarc merged with another independent label, Heads Up, which is now a subsidiary of Telarc. In late 2005, both Telarc and Heads Up were bought by Concord Records. Benny Reid
Benny Reid (born October 7, 1980) is a jazz saxophonist, music producer, and composer. Reid was born in Westfield, New Jersey, and his parents exposed him to the music of John Coltrane and Miles Davis. His high school teacher was Andy Fusco, saxophonist with the Buddy Rich band. Reid cited as his biggest saxophone influences Stan Getz, Joe Henderson, and Paul Desmond. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Jazz at Indiana University School of Music. In 2008 he graduated with a Master's degree from Queens College. Reid also studied with Barry Harris, Eric Alexander, Mike LeDonne, Chris Potter, and Dick Oatts. Ben Williams (musician)
Ben Williams (born December 28, 1984, Washington, D.C.) is an American jazz bassist. Biography Ben Williams began playing bass at age 10, was raised in the District of Columbia, and graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Michigan State University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the Juilliard School. In 2009, he won the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Bass Competition as judged by Ron Carter, Charlie Haden, Dave Holland, Robert Hurst, Christian McBride, and John Patitucci. Paul McCartney and Wings, often billed simply as Wings, was a British-American rock band formed in 1971 in London by former Beatle Paul McCartney; his wife Linda McCartney on keyboards; session drummer Denny Seiwell; and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. They were noted for their commercial successes, musical eclecticism, and frequent personnel changes. They went through three lead guitarists and four drummers. David Stephen Koz (born March 27, 1963) is an American saxophonist, composer, record producer, and radio personality based in Los Angeles, California. Early life Dave Koz was born in Encino, California, to Jewish parents: Norman, a dermatologist and Audrey, a pharmacist. Dave has a brother, Jeff, who is also a musician, and a sister, Roberta. Although he is Jewish, Koz plays both Christmas and occasional Hanukkah songs at his concerts. Kenny G is one of the List of best-selling music artists, best-selling artists of all time, with global sales totaling more than 75 million records, making him also the best-selling instrumentalist in history.
