Conclave (film)
''Conclave'' is an upcoming thriller film directed by Edward Berger and written by Peter Straughan, based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Robert Harris. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 1, 2024, by Focus Features. Premise Cardinal Lomeli, tasked with finding the successor to the deceased Pope, discovers the former Pope had a secret that must be uncovered. Edward Berger
Edward Berger (born 1970 in Wolfsburg, West Germany) is a German director and screenwriter. Life and work Edward Berger graduated from Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in Wolfsburg. He attended the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig from 1990 to 1991 and then transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he finished his studies in directing in 1994. At NYU, he created numerous short films, which were screened at many international film festivals. He gathered his first work experience at the U.S. Independent Production company Good Machine, working, among others, on the films of Ang Lee and Todd Haynes. Additionally, Edward Berger gave lectures and carried out workshops at Columbia University, and at Universität der Künste Berlin and at the HFF Potsdam. Edward Berger has lived in Berlin since 1997. A cardinal ( la, Sanctae Romanae Ecclesiae cardinalis, literally 'cardinal of the Holy Roman Church') is a senior member of the clergy of the Catholic Church. Jacek Koman (born 15 August 1956) is a Polish actor and singer. Early life Koman was born in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, to actors Halina Koman (née Dobrowolska; born 3 January 1923) and Adam Koman (24 December 1922 – 1 December 2005), and came to Australia in 1982 with his brother Tomek. They landed in Perth before heading over to Melbourne, where he began acting again. Biography Sergio Castellitto was born in Rome in 1953, to parents from Molise and Abruzzo, Southern Italy. Merab Ninidze ( ka, მერაბ ნინიძე; born 3 November 1965) is a Georgian actor. In the English-speaking world, he is best known for the roles of Walter Redlich in '' Nowhere in Africa'' and Oleg Penkovsky in '' The Courier''.
