Comités De Defensa De La República
Comités (''Committees'' in English language) is a student organization of Galiza. Formed from the union of the CAF-CAF (Comités Abertos de Facultade, ''Open College Committees'' in English language, English) and the CAE (Comités Abertos de Estudantes, ''Open Student Committees'' in English language, English). Comités defends public, democratic and quality education in galician language. It is an assembly-based organization. The Comités are considered the heirs of the Comités Abertos de Faculdade, CAF, Comités Abertos de Estudantes, CAE and of the Galician Revolutionary Students, ERGA. History Due to the internal problems of the Comités Abertos de Faculdade, CAF and the Comités Abertos de Estudantes, CAE, those two organizations opted for its self-dissolution and boosted the creation of a new Galician people, galician students' union, student union. Comités Abertos De Estudantes
Comités Abertos de Estudantes (CAE, ''Students Open Committees'' in English) was a Galician nationalist and left-wing student union, formed by high school, ''bachillerato'' and ''professional formation'' students. On May 10, 2008, CAE dissolved itself to form, along with the Comités Abertos de Faculdade (CAF), a new student union, Comités. Galician Student League
The Galician Student League (LEG, ''Liga Estudantil Galega'' in Galician language) is a students' union, student union that advocates for a public education, in galician language, democratic, of quality and not Patriarchy, patriarchal. It is an open organization, which is governed by internal democracy and horizontal assemblies. In the LEG can participate any high school, vocational training or university student. History The LEG was born on March 26, 2011, at the Faculty of Law of Santiago de Compostela, after a rupture of more than 150 militants of the Comités with this organization.
