Francisco Comesaña (born 6 October 2000) is an Argentine professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 67, achieved on 24 February 2025 and a doubles ranking of No. 257, achieved on 8 May 2023. Early life Francisco Comesaña was born in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, to father Agustín and mother Adela. As his surname suggests, his family is of Galician descent. He has one brother, Valentín. He began playing tennis around the age of six. He began his career training at Edison Lawn Tennis in Mar de Plata, which is owned by the family of Horacio Zeballos. In 2021, he moved to Córdoba to train under coach Facundo Argüello. In 2023, he moved back to Buenos Aires to train under coach Sebastián Gutiérrez at the Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires. Santiago "Santi" Comesaña Veiga (born 5 October 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Villarreal. Career Coruxo Born in Vigo, Galicia, Comesaña was an ED Val Miñor youth graduate. On 9 July 2015, he signed for Segunda División B side Coruxo FC, after impressing on a trial basis. On 22 August 2015, Comesaña made his senior debut, starting and scoring his team's second in a 3–2 away win against Atlético Astorga FC. On 6 December, he scored a hat-trick in a 5–1 home routing of SD Compostela. Gloria Margarita Comesaña Santalices (5 December 1946 – 18 March 2024) was a Spanish feminist philosopher based in Venezuela. She was co-founder of the Maracaibo Feminist League and the Maracaibo Women's House, as well as co-founder of the Venezuelan University Network of Women's Studies (Reuevem) and in 1991, founding coordinator of the Free Women's Course at the University of Zulia. Biography As a philosopher, Comesaña holds a PhD in philosophy from the Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, France. She has specialized in women's studies, has developed an extensive career both as a teacher and writer, and has developed her own work, publishing numerous works on contemporary philosophy and feminist theory in national and international journals, as well as several books.
