Cody (telemovie)
''Cody'' is a series of six Australian telemovies starring Gary Sweet that were made for the Seven Network in 1994 and 1995. Sweet played the title character Cody, an unconventional police detective,Ed. Scott Murray, ''Australia on the Small Screen 1970–1995'', Oxford Uni Press, 1996 p28 described by Screen Australia as a "larrikin cop, on the trail of crimes". Plot Cody (Gary Sweet) is a Sydney-based police detective, with Fiorelli (Robert Mammone) as his partner and Inspector Genevieve Simmonds (Heather Mitchell) as their superior. Andrew Prowse
Andrew Prowse was an Australian editor, writer and director of film and television. He was nominated for AACTA Award for Best Editing, Best Editing at the 1986 AACTA Awards, AFI Awards for ''Playing Beatie Bow (film), Playing Beatie Bow''. Mark Owen-Taylor
Mark Owen-Taylor (born 27 January 1962) is an Australian actor, who has also worked variously as a narrator and voice-over artist. Early life Owen-Taylor initially wanted to be a teacher and attended Melbourne State College for four years. Upon deciding to become an actor, he applied to the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), from where he graduated in 1984. Career Owen-Taylor first appeared in a stage production of ''The Taming of the Shrew'' with the Sydney Shakespeare in the Park company, the docu-drama ''Flowers of Rethymnon'' and the miniseries '' Land of Hope''. His role in the latter series helped him win his part in '' A Country Practice'', as they were produced by the same company. The AACTA Award for Best Miniseries or Telefeature, also known as AACTA Award for Best Telefeature or Mini Series, is an award that has been handed out to producers annually since 1986 by the Australian Film Institute (AFI), since 2011 the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA). Frank Gallacher (7 April 1943 – 23 February 2009) was a Scottish-Australian actor. Early life Gallacher was born in Glasgow in 1943. In 1962, aged 19, he was working in London when his parents and younger sister decided to emigrate to Australia. Gallacher declined to join them, preferring to remain in London, but emigrated to Brisbane a year later where he worked as a schoolteacher. He spent three years in Papua New Guinea teaching English. On his return to Brisbane, he joined an amateur theatre company, which eventually gained him admission to the Queensland Theatre Company.
