Code Black (film)
''Code Black'' is a documentary directed by Ryan McGarry (physician), Ryan McGarry in 2013 that follows the lives of young physicians in the Los Angeles General Medical Center Emergency department. These young residents stand up for medicine in a broken healthcare system. This film enters one of America's busiest emergency rooms where new challenges arise as the young residents try to live up to the previous doctors in the legendary C-booth. The film was adapted by Michael Seitzman into the CBS medical drama ''Code Black (TV series), Code Black'' (2015–2018). Ryan McGarry is an American cinematographer, writer, director, cinematographer and emergency physician who directed the documentary ''Code Black''. ''Code Black'' is the basis for the TV series ''Code Black (TV series), Code Black''. He also co-created and directed the Emmy nominated series Pandemic for Netflix. A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when Ischemia, blood flow decreases or stops in one of the coronary arteries of the heart, causing infarction (tissue death) to the heart muscle.
