Coda (Wildstorm)
Wildcats, sometimes rendered WildCats or WildC.A.T.s, is a superhero team created by the United States, American comic book artist Jim Lee and writer Brandon Choi. The comic was published in various formats from 1992 through 2022. It also formed the basis for a television show, a line of toys, and a video game. Publication history The team first appeared in August 1992 in the first issue of their eponymous comic book ''WildC.A.T.s: Covert Action Teams'', published by Image Comics. It was Image founding partner Jim Lee's first work published by the newly launched company, and his first creator-owned project. Jim Lee
Jim Lee (; born August 11, 1964) is a Korean-born American comic book artist, writer, editor, and publisher. As of 2023, he is the President, Publisher, and Chief creative officer, Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics. In recognition of his work, Lee has received a Harvey Award, Inkpot Award and three Wizard Fan Awards. Lee got his start in the industry in 1987 as an artist for Marvel Comics, illustrating titles such as ''Alpha Flight (comic book), Alpha Flight'' and ''The Punisher War Journal'' before becoming widely popular through his work on ''The Uncanny X-Men''. Youngblood is a superhero team starring in their self-titled comic book series, created by writer/artist Rob Liefeld. The team made its debut as a backup feature in ''RAMM'' #1 (May 1987) before the next month appearing in the one-shot ''Megaton Explosion'' #1 (June 1987) before later appearing in April 1992 in its own ongoing series as the flagship publication for Image Comics and the wider Image Universe. Robert Liefeld (; born October 3, 1967) is an American comic book creator. A prominent writer and artist in the 1990s, he is known for co-creating the character Cable (comics), Cable with writer Louise Simonson and the character Deadpool with writer Fabian Nicieza. Helspont is a character in Wildstorm's comics who was ultimately transplanted to the DC Universe. In addition to the WildC.A.T.s, he has also fought Team One, Gen13, Backlash, and when folded into the DC Universe, Superman. Fictional character biography A member of the alien race known as the Daemonites, Helspont was a military lord. He was, essentially, the general who would command Daemonite forces in the field. Helspont possessed a being from another alien race (before the Wildstorm Universe separated from the Image Universe, the being he possessed was an Acurian) at some unknown point in time (centuries after the fall of the Roman Empire, according to Spartan), becoming his usual form.
