Cléo De Mérode
Cléopâtre-Diane de Mérode (27 September 1875 – 17 October 1966) was a French dancer of the Belle Époque. She has been referred to as the "first real celebrity icon" and the "first modern celebrity". She was also the first woman whose photographic image, due in particular to photographers Nadar and Léopold-Émile Reutlinger, was distributed worldwide. Biography Cléo de Mérode was born in Paris, France on 27 September 1875 at 7:00 P.M. She was the illegitimate daughter of Viennese Baroness Vincentia Maria Cäcilia Catharina de House of Merode, Mérode (1850–1899). Bangs (North American English) or a fringe (British English, Australian English and New Zealand English) are strands or locks of hair that fall over the scalp's front hairline to cover the forehead, usually just above the eyebrows, though can range to various lengths. Giovanni Boldini
Giovanni Boldini (31 December 1842 – 11 January 1931) was an Italian genre and portrait painter who lived and worked in Paris for most of his career. According to a 1933 article in ''Time'' magazine, he was known as the "Master of Swish" because of his flowing style of painting. Early life Boldini was born in Ferrara, Italy on 31 December 1842. He was the son of a painter of religious subjects, and the younger brother of architect Luigi (Louis) Boldini. In 1862, he went to Florence for six years to study and pursue painting. He only infrequently attended classes at the Academy of Fine Arts, but in Florence, met other realist painters known as the Macchiaioli, who were Italian precursors to Impressionism. Henri Gervex
Henri Gervex (10 December 1852 – 7 June 1929) was a French painter who studied painting under Alexandre Cabanel, Pierre-Nicolas Brisset, and Eugène Fromentin. Biography Early years He was the son of Joséphine Peltier and Félix Nicolas Gervex, a piano maker. When he was 15, a friend of the family helped him get admitted to the atelier of Pierre-Nicolas Brisset. Paul-Eugène Mesplès (; 1849–1924) was a French painter and lithographer, nicknamed the "painter of dancers"; a figure of Montmartre during the Belle Époque, he was also an engraver and an accomplished musician.''Benezit''. Einar Nerman (6 October 1888 – 30 March 1983) was a Swedish visual artist known for his portraits, book and magazine illustrations and theatrical designs. Early life and education He grew up in a middle-class family in Norrköping with his twin brother, archeologist Birger Nerman, and older brother, Swedish Communist leader Ture Nerman. József Rippl-Rónai
József Rippl-Rónai (23 May 1861 – 25 November 1927) was a Hungarian painter. He was among the first Hungarian exponents of artistic modernism. Biography He was born in Kaposvár. After his studies at the high school there, he went to study in Budapest, where he obtained a degree in pharmacology. In 1884, he traveled to Munich to study painting at the academy. Two years later, he obtained a grant which enabled him to move to Paris and study with Mihály Munkácsy, the most important Hungarian realist painter. Manuel Benedito Vives (25 December 1875 – 20 June 1963) was a Spanish painter. He was born in Valencia on Christmas 1875. His father was a taxidermist, and his brother was a musician. At age 13, he was enrolled in the San Carlos School of Fine Arts, from which he graduated six years later. Upon graduation, he began working in Joaquín Sorolla's workshop and traveled to Madrid with him two years later.
