Clément Bonnand
Clément Bonnand, MEP (; 20 May 1796 – 21 March 1861) was a Catholic Church in France, French Catholic missionary of Paris Foreign Missions Society and was the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Pondicherry and Cuddalore, Vicar Apostolic of Pondicherry from 3 April 1850 until his death on 21 March 1861. He was born on 20 May 1796 in Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire, France, he was ordained a priest on 17 June 1821. He served for some time as an assistant in a parish of his own diocese. He joined the MEP Seminary on 14 November 1823. He left for the Malabar Mission on 4 February 1824 and served first at Phirangipuram in Andhra Pradesh. Consecration He was selected as Coadjutor by Bishop Louis-Charles-Auguste Hébert in 1831. He hesitated a long time before accepting this charge. He was consecrated on 8 November 1833 at Oulgaret in Our Lady of Victory Church. The Society of Foreign Missions of Paris (, , MEP) is a Catholic Missionary order, missionary organization. It is not a religious institute, but an organization of secular clergy, secular priests and Laity, lay persons dedicated to missionary work in foreign lands. The Society of Foreign Missions of Paris was established 1658–63. In 1659, instructions for establishment of the Paris Foreign Missions Society were given by Rome's Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith. Gabrijel Palković, O.S.B.M. (15 April 1715 – 25 February 1759) was a Ruthenian and Croatian Greek Catholic hierarch. He was the titular bishop Drizipara and Vicar Apostolic of Marča from 1752 to 1759. Biography Born in Zakarpattia, Habsburg monarchy (present day – Ukraine) in 1715, Palković was ordained a priest on 12 November 1741 as member of the Order of Saint Basil the Great. Before his nomination as bishop, Fr. Palković was the member of the Saint Nicholas Basilian Monastery in Mukacheve. He was confirmed as the Bishop by the Holy See on 4 August 1752. Pope Pius IX (; born Giovanni Maria Battista Pietro Pellegrino Isidoro Mastai-Ferretti; 13 May 1792 – 7 February 1878) was head of the Catholic Church from 1846 to 1878.
