Advertising or marketing clutter refers to the large volume of advertising messages that the average consumer is exposed to on a daily basis. Background One explanation, in a general sense, is that advertising clutter is often a result of a marketplace that is (over)-crowded with competing products. Heightened competition from this phenomenon has led to the emergence of other advertising strategies, including guerrilla marketing, viral marketing, and experiential marketing along with new focuses on humanising messaging within marketing. Clutter (radar)
Clutter is the unwanted return (echoes) in electronic systems, particularly in reference to radars. Such echoes are typically returned from ground, sea, rain, animals/insects, chaff and atmospheric turbulences, and can cause serious performance issues with radar systems. What one person considers to be unwanted clutter, another may consider to be a wanted target. However, targets usually refer to point scatterers and clutter to extended scatterers (covering many range, angle, and Doppler cells). The clutter may fill a volume (such as rain) or be confined to a surface (like land). A knowledge of the volume or surface area illuminated is required to estimated the echo per unit volume, η, or echo per unit surface area, σ° (the radar backscatter coefficient). Causes Clutter may be caused by man-made objects such as buildings and — intentionally — by radar countermeasures such as chaff. Chart Clutter
Chartjunk consists of all visual elements in charts and graphs that are not necessary to comprehend the information represented on the graph, or that distract the viewer from this information. Markings and visual elements can be called chartjunk if they are not part of the minimum set of visuals necessary to communicate the information understandably. Examples of unnecessary elements that might be called chartjunk include heavy or dark grid lines, unnecessary text, inappropriately complex or gimmicky font faces, ornamented chart axes, and display frames, pictures, backgrounds or icons within data graphs, ornamental shading and unnecessary dimensions. Another kind of chartjunk skews the depiction and makes it difficult to understand the real data being displayed. Examples of this type include items depicted out of scale to one another, noisy backgrounds making comparison between elements difficult in a chart or graph, and 3-D simulations in line and bar charts. Cluttering
Cluttering is a speech and communication disorder characterized by a rapid rate of speech, erratic rhythm, and poor syntax or grammar, making speech difficult to understand. Classification Cluttering is a speech and communication disorder that has also been described as a fluency disorder. It is defined as: Signs and symptoms Cluttering is sometimes confused with stuttering. Both communication disorders break the normal flow of speech, but they are distinct. A stutterer has a coherent pattern of thoughts, but may have a difficult time vocally expressing those thoughts; in contrast, a clutterer has no problem putting thoughts into words, but those thoughts become disorganized during speaking. Clutter (album)
''Clutter'' is the debut studio album by Laki Mera. In December 2007, prior to its official release on CD in April 2008, the band made the album available for free download via their record label, Rhythm of Life's website. The album was critically well-received, getting a 5 star review from The Herald, and the risky strategy of offering it for free proved beneficial to the band, providing them with exposure and increasing their audience. In combinatorics, a Sperner family (or Sperner system; named in honor of Emanuel Sperner), or clutter, is a family ''F'' of subsets of a finite set ''E'' in which none of the sets contains another. Equivalently, a Sperner family is an antichain in the inclusion lattice over the power set of ''E''. A Sperner family is also sometimes called an independent system or irredundant set.
