Club Atlético Mitre is an Argentine sports club located in the Santiago del Estero. The club is mostly known for its football team, that currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second division of Argentine football league system. Other sports practised at the club are basketball, basque pelota, bowls, cestoball, and cycling. History The club was founded on April 2, 1907 by Francisco Igounet, his daughter and his father-in-law. After a friendly football match between "Mendoza" and "Mitre" with the second team being the winner, the club was established naming it "Club Atlético Mitre" honoring former president of Argentina who had died a few years before. Juan Ignacio Alessandroni (born 26 December 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mitre. Career Alesandroni started his career with Juventud Pergamino in 2006. Franco Emanuel Ledesma (born 3 October 1992) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Agropecuario. Career Ledesma started in Torneo Argentino C with San Jorge. In 2012, Ledesma joined Atlético Concepción of Torneo Argentino B, featuring nine times in two years. In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a tie (draw), draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as Overtime (sports)#Association football, extra time (if used) has expired. Club Atlético Gimnasia y Esgrima (usually known as Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza) is an Argentine football club located in the city of Mendoza. Torneo Argentino B was one of two leagues that form the fourth level of the Argentine football league system, made up of 100+ teams playing within eight regional zones across Argentina. The other league at level four wasand still isthe Primera C Metropolitana, which is a competition for the numerous clubs in the city of Buenos Aires and the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area. The Torneo Argentino A (in English "Argentine A Tournament") was one of the two leagues that formed the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system. Clubs in the Torneo Argentino have indirect membership in AFA, while clubs in the Primera B Metropolitana (the other third division) have direct membership in AFA.
