Claudio Vicuña Subercaseaux
Claudio Vicuña Subercaseaux (1875 – May 21, 1956) was a Chilean farmer and politician, member of the Liberal Democratic Party (Chile, 1893), Liberal Democratic Party. He served as a deputy and a state minister during the presidencies of presidents Ramón Barros Luco and Arturo Alessandri. Family and education He was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1875, one of the seven children of Lucía Subercaseaux Vicuña and Claudio Vicuña Guerrero, who was a deputy and a state minister during the presidency of President José Manuel Balmaceda. He studied primary and secondary education at the Colegio de los Sagrados Corazones de Santiago. He married Julia Ossa Lynch, with whom he had six children. Political career In the political arena, he was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, a party that, when divided into Alliance and Unionists, was among the former and served as president of that group in 1924 and 1925. Claudio Vicuña Guerrero
Claudio Vicuña Guerrero (Santiago, December 31, 1833 - Santiago, February 28, 1907) was a politician and diplomat from Chile, who served as Minister of the Interior between 1890 and 1891 during the government of José Manuel Balmaceda, in the midst of the outbreak of the Chilean Civil War of 1891. He was elected President of the Republic of Chile in the July 1891 election, although he was unable to take office due to the opposition's victory over Balmaceda in the civil war. Biography He was the son of Ignacio Vicuña Aguirre, who served as a deputy for Quillota between 1840 and 1843, and Carmen Guerrero Varas. He had seven siblings, among whom Ricardo Vicuña Guerrero stood out, serving as a deputy (1873–1876) and senator of the Constituent Congress of 1891. Emilio Bello Codesido (13 July 1868 – 3 March 1963) was a Chilean lawyer, diplomat, deputy and President of the Government Junta that ruled Chile in 1925. He was the son of Andrés Ricardo Bello, and grandson of Andrés Bello, who authored the Civil Code of Chile. He did his early studies at the Colegio inglés, the Instituto Nacional and the Universidad de Chile, graduating as a lawyer in 1889. Due to his support of president José Manuel Balmaceda during the 1891 Chilean Civil War, he was forced to exile himself. He later was allowed to return and organized the Liberal Democratic Party in Valparaíso. He was several times minister and ambassador to Bolivia and Mexico.
