Citroën World Touring Car Team
The Citroën World Touring Car Team was the Citroën factory touring car arm of Citroën Racing, which competed in the World Touring Car Championship. Formation In 2013, Citroën Racing created a new sub-division, the Citroën World Touring Car Team, in order to begin to run in addition in the 2014 World Touring Car Championship. The Citroën World Touring Car Team was formed in June, 2013, when it was announced that the team will enter WTCC in 2014. 9-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb joined the team instantly and several weeks later the 3-time WTCC champion at the time Yvan Muller joined as Loeb's teammate. Also it was announced that the car that will be used will be Citroën C-Elysée, built to the brand new TC1 regulations. Yves Matton
Yves Matton is a Belgian Rally Motorsport Car Racing champion and a former FIA Rally Director. He founded his self-named company MY Racing, before being appointment as Logistics Manager for Citroën Sport, and later becoming GM for Citroën Racing. He also served as a customer racing manager, and helped to track the development of young talented drivers. History Matton's love for motorsport began as he followed the Rallye du Condroz every year throughout his childhood in Huy. In 1986, after passing his driving test, he achieved one of his dreams when he took part in his favourite rally in an Opel Ascona. Mehdi Bennani ( ar, مهدي بناني, born 25 August 1983) is a Moroccan racing driver who currently competes in the TCR Europe with Sébastien Loeb Racing. He was TCR Europe Champion in 2020 with the Belgian team Comtoyou Racing. He became the first Moroccan driver to win a world championship race organized by the FIA, after his victory in Shanghai in the WTCC.
