Cibolo is a city in Guadalupe and Bexar counties in Texas, United States. It is part of the San Antonio–New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area. Cibolo voted to become an independent township on October 9, 1965. Cibolo is in a region settled primarily by German emigrants in the mid 1800s. As of the 2020 census, Cibolo had a population of 32,276, up from 15,349 at the 2010 census. Interstate 35 (I-35) is a major north–south Interstate Highway that runs from Laredo, Texas near the Mexican border to Duluth, Minnesota. In Texas, the highway begins in Laredo and runs north to the Red River north of Gainesville, where it crosses into Oklahoma. Along its route, it passes through the cities of San Antonio, Austin, and Waco before splitting into two branch routes just north of Hillsboro: I-35E heads northeast through Dallas, while I-35W turns northwest to run through Fort Worth. Zuehl, Texas
Zuehl ( ) is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in western Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located on Cibolo Creek, it lies southwest of Seguin. The population was 399 at the 2020 census. Once known as "Perryman's Crossing", it was a crossing on the Wood Road, an early road between Gonzales and San Antonio. Wilhelm Zuehl bought the land in 1870 and two years later opened a store, from which the community took its name. Geography Zuehl is located on the western edge of Guadalupe County. The western border of the CDP follows Cibolo Creek, which is also the Bexar County line. Zuehl is bordered to the north by the city of Cibolo and to the east by New Berlin. Cibolo Creek
Cibolo Creek is a stream in South Central Texas that runs approximately from its source at Turkey Knob (in the Texas Hill Country) near Boerne, Texas, to its confluence with the San Antonio River in Karnes County, Texas, Karnes County. The creek is a tributary of the San Antonio River, at the easternmost part of its watershed. The stream is used for both recreational and cartographic purposes, serving as the eastern boundary of Bexar County, Texas.
