Châtillon, Belgium
Châtillon (; ''Tchekion'' in the Gaume dialect, ''Schättljong'' or ''Schasteljong'' in Luxembourgish) is a village in the Belgian municipality of Saint-Léger, located in the Walloon region of the province of Luxembourg. Prior to a 1977 reorganization of municipalities, Châtillon was a municipality in its own right. Geography Châtillon is located seven miles southwest of Arlon, on national highway 82 Arlon-Virton. Landmarks Landmarks in Châtillon include the village fountain, old sawmills, 18th-century homes, the birthplace of Belgian writer Édouard Ned, and the limestone formations in the Lahage River (Ruisseau de Lahage) Valley. Saint-Léger (; also unofficial Saint-Léger-en-Gaume; ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium. On 1 January 2022 the municipality, which covers 35.86 km2, had 3,735 inhabitants, giving a population density of 104.0 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the districts of Châtillon, Meix-le-Tige, and Saint-Léger.There is a spar near the town center. Transport Saint-Léger is not served by any highways. An automobile graveyard or car cemetery is a place in which decrepit road vehicles reside while waiting to be destroyed or recycled or are left abandoned and decaying. Locations and purposes There are numerous automobile graveyards that can be found around the world. The purpose of each location varies. Just outside Victorville, California there are hundreds of thousands of cars that were bought back by Volkswagen after the 2015 emissions scandal and they are awaiting recycling or destruction. Some cemeteries operate in a manner similar to scrapyards where rare spare parts can be found. The Historischer Autofriedhof Gürbetal in Kaufdorf comprised hundreds of cars, mostly from the 1930s to 1960s. The cars went untouched for more than 30 years.
