Château de Boisgeloup is an 18th-century château near Gisors in Eure, Normandy, formerly owned by Pablo Picasso and now a private art gallery run by his grandson Bernard Ruiz-Picasso and gallerist Almine Rech. Picasso bought Château de Boisgeloup with his wife Olga Khokhlova Olga Picasso (born Olga Stepanovna Khokhlova; ; 17 June 1891 – 11 February 1955) was a Russian ballet dancer in the Ballets Russes, directed by Sergei Diaghilev and based in Paris. Bernard Ruiz-Picasso (born 3 September 1959) is a businessman and art collector. He is the grandson of Pablo Picasso and the son of Paul and Christine Ruiz-Picasso. He curates international exhibitions dedicated to Pablo Picasso. Biography Bernard Ruiz-Picasso is the son of Paul Joseph Ruiz-Picasso/Paulo Picasso, the first child of Pablo Picasso and his wife Olga Khokhlova, and is therefore the only "legitimate heir" of his grandfather's works, according to the legal system in place before 2002, together with his half-sister Marina Picasso. Almine Rech Ruiz-Picasso ( Rech) is a French art dealer and owner of the eponymous contemporary art gallery. The gallery has exhibition spaces in Paris, Brussels, London, New York, Shanghai, Gstaad and Monaco. The gallery opened in 1997 in Paris. Early life and education Almine Rech was born in Paris to a Vietnamese-French mother and a French father, Georges Rech, who founded one of France's first ready-to-wear labels in the 1960s. Olga Khokhlova
Olga Picasso (born Olga Stepanovna Khokhlova; ; 17 June 1891 – 11 February 1955) was a Russian ballet dancer in the Ballets Russes, directed by Sergei Diaghilev and based in Paris. There she met and married the artist Pablo Picasso, served as one of his early muses, and was the mother of their son, Paul (Paulo). Early life Khokhlova was born in the town of Nizhyn, Chernigov Governorate, Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine) on 17 June 1891. Her father, Stepan Khokhlov, was a colonel in the Imperial Russian Army. Her mother Lydia Zinchenko was of Ukrainian descent. The Khokhlov family had three sons and two daughters. Olga decided to be a ballerina after being encouraged by a friend's sister who had joined the Diaghilev ballet. Vollard Suite
The ''Vollard Suite'' is a set of 100 etchings in the neoclassical style by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, produced from 1930 to 1937. Named after the art dealer who commissioned them, Ambroise Vollard (1866–1939), the suite is in a number of museums. More than 300 sets were created. An earlier ''Vollard Suite'' was commissioned from Paul Gauguin in 1898–99, a smaller group in woodcut and monotype, which Vollard did not like. History In 1930 Picasso was commissioned to produce the etchings by the art dealer and publisher Ambroise Vollard in exchange for paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Paul Cézanne. Picasso worked extensively on the set in the spring of 1933, and completed the suite in 1937. Louis Valentin (10 September 1930 – 3 May 2010), born Louis Valentine, was a French journalist, novelist, and screenwriter.
