Christopher Elton
Christopher Elton is a British piano teacher, former Head of the Keyboard department of the Royal Academy of Music in London and a professor emeritus of the University of London. Biography Christopher Elton was born in Edinburgh and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he achieved the unusual distinction of gaining the Academy's Dip.RAM, both on piano and cello. After his formal studies he continued his studies with Maria Curcio and was a prizewinner in several British and international piano competitions, and performed both as a soloist and chamber musician. He also freelanced with the major London orchestras playing cello. Mr Elton has long served as a professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music, and later as Head of the Keyboard Department. Rustem Hayroudinoff
Rustem Hayroudinoff () is a Russian concert pianist. Tatar by nationality, he was born in Kazan, Russian Federation (Republic of Tatarstan). His father, Afzal Hayroudinoff is a Professor of Cello at the Kazan State Conservatory. His sister, Halida Hayrutdinova, is also an acclaimed concert pianist. Rustem Hayroudinoff graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied with Lev Naumov, and received his postgraduate degree (DipRAM) at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Christopher Elton. He was the first student from Soviet Union to come to study at the Royal Academy, where he is now a Professor of Piano. Julian Miles Trevelyan (born 1998) is a British pianist and musicologist who won international competitions, such as the Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition in Paris in 2015 at age 16. Benjamin Grosvenor (born 8 July 1992) is a British classical pianist. Education Grosvenor was born and brought up in Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He is the youngest of five brothers. His father is an English and Drama teacher, and his mother Rebecca is a piano teacher by profession. Grosvenor began studying the piano with his mother at the age of five. He joined Westcliff High School for Boys in 2003. He now also took lessons from Hilary Coates and Christopher Elton in London. Grosvenor studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where he took musicianship classes with Daniel-Ben Pienaar and Julian Perkins. Ashley Wass (born 26 March 1977) is a British classical pianist and director of music at the Yehudi Menuhin School. He was winner of the London International Piano Competition in 1997, a prizewinner at the Leeds Piano Competition in 2000, and a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist.
