Chris Packham
Christopher Gary Packham CBE (born 4 May 1961) is an English naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter and author, best known for his television work including the CBBC children's nature series '' The Really Wild Show'' from 1986 to 1995. He has also presented the BBC nature series '' Springwatch'', including ''Autumnwatch'' and ''Winterwatch'', since 2009. Early life Packham was born in Southampton, Hampshire, on 4 May 1961. He was educated at Bitterne Park Secondary School, Taunton's College and the University of Southampton, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. After graduating, he cancelled his study towards a Doctorate of Philosophy to train as a wildlife cameraman. Whitehall is a road and area in the City of Westminster, Central London, England. A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD, DPhil; or ) is a terminal degree that usually denotes the highest level of academic achievement in a given discipline and is awarded following a course of Postgraduate education, graduate study and original research. BBC South East
BBC South East is the BBC English region serving Kent, East Sussex (including the City of Brighton and Hove), parts of West Sussex and Surrey. The BBC region was created in September 2001 by the joining of the Heathfield transmitter (formerly part of the BBC South region) with the Bluebell Hill and Dover transmitters (from the then BBC London and South East region) to form a new regional TV service. Inside Out (2002 TV Programme)
''Inside Out'' is the brand name for a number of regional television programmes in England that were broadcast on BBC One. Each series, made by a BBC region, focuses on stories from the local area. Commissioned by BBC One controller Lorraine Heggessey, the programme began on 9 September 2002 and replaced a number of different titles previously used on BBC Two. The programme ended on 30 March 2020 and was replaced in 2022 by a new programme, '' We Are England'', which has fewer regional editions and focusses on one subject per edition with regional takes on the chosen subject. Carlton Television
Carlton Television (now part of the non-franchised ITV London region) was the ITV franchise holder for London and the surrounding counties from 9.25am every Monday to 5.15pm every Friday. The company is now managed with London Weekend Television as a single entity ( ITV London), but the two companies are still separately licensed. The station is owned and operated by ITV plc under the licensee of "ITV Broadcasting Limited". Carlton has been branded on air as "ITV1" since 28 October 2002 ("ITV" between 14 January 2013 and 14 November 2022). Carlton Television Ltd, the original holder of the licence (renamed Carlton Broadcasting Limited on 1 February 1997), has since been dissolved. ''The X Creatures'' is a British documentary television series that was produced by the BBC which was broadcast from 26 August to 30 September 1998 on BBC One. It was presented by Chris Packham, and examined the possibility of the existence of mystery animals. The name of the show was a reference to the popular fictional television show ''The X-Files''. Each episode (there were six in all, each lasting 30 minutes) involved Chris Packham travelling to a certain place on Earth where the creature supposedly exists, and examining eyewitness accounts, as opposed to searching for the creature. British Academy Television Awards
The BAFTA TV Awards, or British Academy Television Awards, are presented in an annual award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. They have been awarded annually since 1955. Background The first-ever Awards, given in 1955, consisted of six categories. Until 1958, they were awarded by the Guild of Television Producers and Directors. From 1958 onwards, after the Guild had merged with the British Film Academy, the organisation was known as the Society of Film and Television Arts.
