Chiriquí Fútbol Club was a Panamanian Football (soccer), football team that played in the city of David, Panama, David between 1995 and 2002. History Chiriquí F.C. was founded on 1995 by a group business man from Chiriquí province, Chiriquí including fellow Colombian people, Colombian Enrique París Villegas. The team earned a spot to play in the ANAPROF season of ANAPROF 1995-96, 1995–96 (becoming the first club of the Chiriquí province to do so) during the time where the Panamanian league was divided between the ANAPROF and LINFUNA. Their home stadium was the Estadio Kenny Serracin in David, Panama, David and it was a baseball stadium, after 1999 they would play their home games in the Estadio San Cristobal of David, Panama, David. Club Atlético Chiriquí is a Panamanian football team playing in Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is based in David, Chiriquí and was founded on June 18, 2002 by Luis Denis Arce. Their home stadium is Estadio San Cristóbal. History Atlético Chiriquí was founded by Luis Denis Arce on 18 June 2002 after the disappearance of Chiriquí F.C. in season 2001. In 2004 the team gained promotion from the Liga Nacional de Ascenso to the Liga Panameña de Fútbol after beating Sabanitas 3–2 in the first match and 5–2 on the last match.
