Chequiacocha (possibly from Quechua ''chiqlla'' green, ''qucha'' lake, "green lake") is a lake in Peru located in the Ancash Region, Carhuaz Province, Shilla District. Ancash (; ) is a department and region in western Peru. It is bordered by the departments of La Libertad on the north, Huánuco and Pasco on the east, Lima on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Hualcán
Hualcán (also called Rajopaquinan) (possibly from Quechua ''wallqa, walqa'', ''-n'' a suffix) is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about high. It is located in Ancash, between Chacas (in Asunción Province) and Carhuaz ( Carhuaz Province) districts. Hualcán lies south-east of Chequiaraju.
