Chima Akas
Chima Akas Uche (born 3 May 1994) is a Nigerian professionalfootballer who plays as a centre-back or left-back for Liga Portugal 2 club Belenenses and the Nigeria national team. Club career After being called up to the full Nigeria international squad, Akas was subject to bids from both Enyimba and Akwa United. After supposedly being offered more money by the latter, he was reported to have signed a contract, and was officially unveiled by the club. The player himself even posted a photo of himself wearing ''The Promise Keepers'' jersey on Twitter. However, the transfer was eventually cancelled, and Akas joined Enyimba in March 2016. He was named captain of the NPFL All-Stars in July 2016, and featured in games against Málaga and Valencia. 2016 African Nations Championship
The 2016 African Nations Championship (also referred to as CHAN 2016) was the 4th edition of the African Nations Championship, the biennial international football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men's national teams of Africa featuring exclusively players from their respective national leagues. The tournament was held in Rwanda between 16 January and 7 February 2016. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament. This edition is the first time that all group runners-up made it into the semi-finals. Qualification Rwanda qualified automatically as hosts, while the remaining 15 spots were determined by the qualifying rounds, which took place from June to October 2015. The 2016 African Nations Championship qualification was a men's football competition which decided the participating teams of the 2016 African Nations Championship. Only national team players who were playing in their country's own domestic league were eligible to compete in the tournament. A total of sixteen teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Rwanda who qualified automatically as hosts.
