The Chicago Kingsmen (formerly the Chicago Blasters) are an American professional Twenty20 cricket team based in Chicago, Illinois, that competes in Minor League Cricket (MiLC). It was formed in 2020 as part of 24 original teams to compete in Minor League Cricket. The franchise was owned by Iftekhar Shareef until the team's acquisition by Fawad Sarwar of the Kingsmen Global Sports Group. The franchise is currently run by Salman Abbasi and Mohammad Iqra Farooqui, with Khurram Syed also associated. The team's planned home ground is Kingsmen Stadium, located in Illinois. Pakistan international Fawad Alam helms captaincy duties, while former Pakistani cricketer Saad Ali stands by as vice-captain. Minor League Cricket (MiLC) is a professional Twenty20, Twenty20 cricket league in the United States that serves as the Minor league, developmental league for Major League Cricket (MLC). The league comprises 26 teams, divided between the Atlantic Conference and the Pacific Conference. Beginning play in 2021, the Silicon Valley Strikers won the inaugural tournament. Due to financial issues and general public disinterest, the 2024 season was shortened to eight matches per side, taking place in the fall, and was won by the Chicago Kingsmen. Abul Hasan (born 5 August 1992) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a bowling allrounder. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a robust left-handed lower-order batsman. International career Abul Hasan has played Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals for the Bangladesh national team. In his first Test, against the West Indies in Khulna in November 2012, he became only the fourth player to make a century batting at number 10, and the second to do so on debut - the first being Australia's Reggie Duff in 1902. Abul Hasan made 113 from 123 balls, and added 184 for the ninth wicket with Mahmudullah, which was the highest ninth wicket partnership for Bangladesh in Test.
