Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Crossovers
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a Filipino professional women's volleyball team competing in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) and is named after the Chery Tiggo crossover SUVs. They have won one championship, the 2021 PVL Open Conference. History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the original Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. Chery's former mother team, Foton Tornadoes would be reformed in 2023 and is due to play alongside them in the 2023 Invitational Conference. Foton Tornadoes
The Foton Tornadoes were a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team was owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as Foton Tornadoes. The original Foton team would be renamed as the Chery Tiggo Crossovers heading the 2020 season. Chery joined the professional PVL in 2021. In June 2023, the revival of the Foton Tornadoes team was announced. They played with Chery at the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference At least seven Chery players moved to Foton. They have pledged to participate in the PVL for at least the next three years. The team however withdraw for the succeeding second All-Filipino Conference after several of its players did not have their contracts renewed. Mark Gil Alfafara (born January 28, 1994) is a Filipino volleyball player. He played with UST Growling Tigers collegiate men's University team. Career Collegiate In UAAP Season 73, they got a 13–1 win-loss record in the preliminary round tied with FEU Tamaraws. They succeeded to advanced in the finals after defeating the La Salle Green Archers in the Semis. They won the championship title after beating the FEU Tamaraws in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals series. In UAAP Season 74, they got 11–3 win-loss record in the preliminary round. They won against Adamson Soaring Falcons in the Semis but failed to get the championship title after being defeated by FEU Tamaraws in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals series. Abigail "Aby" Palmares Maraño (born December 22, 1992) is a Filipino professional volleyball player who plays for Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. Early life and education Maraño was born on December 22, 1992, and is 175 cm tall. She took up Bachelor of Arts in Philippine Studies major in Filipino in Mass Media at De La Salle University. She originates from Passi, Iloilo. Princess Robles
Princess Anne "Cess" Robles is a Filipino volleyball player. She is currently playing for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. Career Collegiate Robles played for the Lady Bulldogs of the National University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines from 2018 to 2023. In 2019, Robles won best Server in the UAAP Season 81 women's volleyball tournaments. In 2022, Robles and her team National University won against De la Salle University and declared as champions in the UAAP Season 84 women's volleyball tournaments. She also bagged the Finals MVP award. Alina Joyce Bicar (born November 17, 1998) is a Filipina professional volleyball player currently playing for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. Bicar played setter for and was a former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses. Volleyball career UAAP Bicar was a member of UST Golden Tigresses collegiate women's University team. In 2020, Bicar became the captain of the team in the UAAP Season 82 volleyball tournaments but later on, the tournament was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
