Cherry Orchard F.C.
Cherry Orchard Football Club is an Irish association football club based in the Cherry Orchard district of Ballyfermot, Dublin. Their senior team plays in the Leinster Senior League. They have also competed in the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup, the FAI Junior Cup and the Leinster Senior Cup. The Orchard also have reserve teams playing in the Leinster Senior League and enter teams in the Dublin & District Schoolboy League. Cherry Orchard is well known for its youth system which has successfully produced dozens of players who have gone onto play for clubs throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. In addition, many have also gone on to represent the Republic of Ireland at various international levels. Leinster Senior League (association Football)
The Leinster Senior League is an association football league organised by the Leinster Football Association. In 2015–16 the Leinster Senior League operated twenty divisions. It also organises various cup competitions. Its Senior Division is a third level division in the Republic of Ireland football league system. Leinster Senior League teams also compete in the Leinster Senior Cup, the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup and the FAI Junior Cup. In recent seasons the winners of the Senior Division have also qualified to play in the League of Ireland Cup. The vast majority of its member clubs are based in the Greater Dublin Area. Mark Travers
Mark Travers (born 18 May 1999) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club AFC Bournemouth. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth international level up until under-21 level as well as the Republic of Ireland senior team, earning his first cap in September 2019. Club career Early career Travers’ first youth club was Confey in Leixlip, he then moved on to Lucan United, before spending a season at Cherry Orchard and 6 months at Shamrock Rovers. Anthony Stokes
Anthony Christopher Stokes (born 25 July 1988) is an Irish professional footballer, who plays as a striker. He was also an Irish international, having played at the under-21, team B and Republic of Ireland national football team. He began his senior career with Arsenal, and established himself with a successful loan spell with Falkirk in 2006, scoring 14 goals in 16 SPL games. He then signed for Sunderland in a £2 million deal, but struggled to hold down a place in the Sunderland first team. Enda John Stevens (born 9 July 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a left back for club Sheffield United and the Republic of Ireland national team. Conor Sammon
Conor Sammon (born 6 November 1986) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Alloa Athletic. Sammon started his professional career in the League of Ireland Premier Division with University College Dublin and Derry City. In 2008, he moved to Scottish Premier League club Kilmarnock, and in January 2011, English Premier League club Wigan Athletic signed him for £600,000. Stephen Quinn
Stephen Jude Quinn (born 1 April 1986) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mansfield Town. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland national team. He started his career with League of Ireland club St Patrick's Athletic before moving to Sheffield United in 2005. Dave Langan
David Francis Langan (born 15 February 1957) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a right back for the Republic of Ireland, for whom he won 26 caps. Langan won his first cap against Turkey in April 1978 and was a regular in the squad until he sustained a knee injury in a 3–2 victory over France. For four years he was in the international wilderness until his move to Oxford regenerated the form that earned him his first caps. He remained an ever-present throughout the course of the qualifying campaign for UEFA Euro 1988 in which he played four games. Despite public outcry, Langan was dropped for the adventure in the summer of 1988 in Germany and there ended his international career. Wayne Christopher Patrick Henderson (born 16 September 1983) is an Irish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Henderson first professional club was Aston Villa and following a series of loans went on to play most notably for Brighton and Hove Albion as well as playing six times for the Republic of Ireland. Stephen Gleeson
Stephen Michael Gleeson (born 3 August 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Hitchin Town. Gleeson played youth football in his native Dublin before coming to England at the age of 15 to join Wolverhampton Wanderers. Keith Fahey
Keith Declan Fahey (born 15 January 1983) is an Irish former footballer, who played most of his career with League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic, as well as English club Birmingham City. He played predominantly as a central midfielder, but also occasionally as a winger. Fahey started his professional career as a trainee with Arsenal. He played for Aston Villa, Bluebell United, St Patrick's Athletic and Drogheda United before his transfer to Birmingham City.
