Chengdu–Guiyang High-speed Railway
Chengdu-Guiyang high-speed railway is a major trunk high-speed railway between the provincial capitals of Chengdu, Sichuan and Guiyang, Guizhou via a small section traversing north east Yunnan province. It was selected for construction under the 11th Five Year Plan set by the Chinese Government. Construction started in 2010 and was expected to be completed by 2014. The northern section of this line between Chengdu and Leshan forms the southern part of the operational Chengdu–Mianyang–Leshan intercity railway. The Chengdu – Leshan section opened in 2014, the Leshan – Yibin opened in June 2019, while last Yibin - Guiyang section opened in December 2019. Almost 82% of the route is on 468 bridges or in 183 tunnels. Sichuan
Sichuan is a province in Southwestern China, occupying the Sichuan Basin and Tibetan Plateau—between the Jinsha River to the west, the Daba Mountains to the north, and the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau to the south. Zhaotong
Zhaotong ( zh, t=昭通) is a prefecture-level city located in the northeast corner of Yunnan province, China, bordering the provinces of Guizhou to the south and southeast and Sichuan to the northeast, north, and west. History Zhaotong has historic and cultural links to the Shu (Sichuan basin) region. Yi people consider Zhaotong to be their homeland (called Zizipuwu). Zhaotong was part of Zhuti County (朱提縣) during Han to Tang dynasties. Zhaotong belonged to the Nanzhao then Dali Kingdom until the Mongols destroyed the latter in the 13th century. During the Yuan Dynasty, it became the Wumeng Commandery (乌蒙路), during which many Hui Muslims settled in the area. Emei Shan
Mount Emei (; zh, c=峨眉山, p=Éméi shān, O2-mei2 shan1), alternatively Mount Omei, is a mountain in Sichuan Province, China, and is the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Mount Emei sits at the western rim of the Sichuan Basin. The mountains west of it are known as Daxiangling. A large surrounding area of countryside is geologically known as the Permian Emeishan Large Igneous Province, a large igneous province generated by the Emeishan Traps volcanic eruptions during the Permian Period. Bijie
Bijie ( zh, s=毕节, t=畢節, p=Bìjíe) is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Guizhou Province, China, bordering Sichuan to the north and Yunnan to the west. The Daotianhe Reservoir, located to the north of the town was commissioned in 1965 with a rated annual capacity of 6.5 million cubic meters.
