Chemo (DC Comics)
Chemo is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Debuting in the Silver Age of Comic Books, the character has appeared in both comic books and other DC Comics-related products such as animated television series and trading cards. Publication history The character first appeared in '' Showcase'' #39 (July–August 1962) and was created by writer Robert Kanigher and artists Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. Chemo debuted in a story called "The Deathless Doom" in '' Showcase'' #39-40 (July–August & September–October 1962), being the adversary for DC Comics' new superteam the Metal Men. The character returned in ''Metal Men'' #14 (July 1965); #25 (May 1967) and #46-47 (July & September 1976). Infinite Crisis
"Infinite Crisis" is a 2005–2006 comic book storyline published by DC Comics, consisting of an eponymous, seven-issue comic book limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Phil Jimenez, George Pérez, Ivan Reis, and Jerry Ordway, and a number of tie-in books. The main miniseries debuted in October 2005, and each issue was released with two variant covers: one by Pérez and one by Jim Lee and Sandra Hope. The series storyline was a sequel to DC's 1985 limited series ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', which "rebooted" much of the DC continuity in an effort to fix 50 years of allegedly contradictory character history. It revisited characters and concepts from ''Crisis'', including the existence of DC's Multiverse. A trading card (or collectible card) is a small card, usually made out of paperboard or thick paper, which usually contains an image of a certain person, place or thing (fictional or real) and a short description of the picture, along with other text (attacks, statistics, or trivia). When traded separately, they are known as singles. There is a wide variation of different types of cards. Trading cards are traditionally associated with sports (baseball cards are particularly common) but can also include subjects such as ''Pokémon'' and other non-sports trading cards. These often feature cartoons, comic book characters, television series and film stills. Mike Conroy (writer)
Mike Conroy is a British pop culture writer and former comic book retailer. He is best known for co-creating the long-running industry award, the Eagle Award (comics), Eagle Awards. He was an editor for the trade journal ''Comics International'' from 1997 to 2010, with the title of editor-in-chief from 2006 to 2010. Conroy has written for ''Borderline (magazine), Borderline'', Panini Group, ''Eaglemoss'', and ''SFX (magazine), SFX'' among others, primarily as a comics historian. He has written three books on comics history. Career Conroy managed the Eagle Awards from 1977 to 2014, with some significant hiatuses. Booster Gold (Michael Jon "Booster" Carter) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Dan Jurgens, the character first appeared in ''Booster Gold (comic book), Booster Gold'' #1 (February 1986) and has been a member of the Justice League. He is initially depicted as a glory-seeking showboat from the future, staging high-publicity heroics through his knowledge of historical events and futuristic technology. Carter develops over the course of his publication history and through personal tragedies to become a hero weighed down by his reputation. ''Salvation Run'' is a seven-issue 2007-2008 DC Comics limited series which was designed to tie into the company's major event series ''Final Crisis'' in 2008. Premise The series, which is based on a pitch from George R. R. Martin, follows a world where various supervillains are captured by the Suicide Squad and imprisoned on a distant planet. The story features the villains splitting into alliances and either attempting to escape the planet, known as "Salvation", or choosing to rule over it. Bill Willingham started as writer, but had to hand the project over to Lilah Sturges after only three issues due to illness. The first issue was released in November 2007. Outsiders (comics)
The Outsiders are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. As their name suggests, the team consists of superheroes who do not fit the norms of the "mainstream" superhero community, i.e. the Justice League. The Outsiders have had a number of different incarnations. They were founded by Batman, whose ties to the Justice League were strained at the time, and introduced the original line-up of Batman, Black Lightning, Metamorpho, Geo-Force, Katana (DC Comics), Katana, Halo (DC Comics), Halo and Looker (character), Looker.
