Chase Farris
Chase Farris (born April 8, 1993) is a former American football offensive guard. He played college football at Ohio State, and was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2016. College career Farris attended Ohio State University and played for the Ohio State Buckeyes football program beginning in 2012. After redshirting the 2011 season as a true freshman, Farris made the transition from defensive line to offensive line and made seven total appearances on special teams for the 2012 Ohio State Buckeyes football team. As a sophomore in 2013, Farris battled current Detroit Lions tackle Taylor Decker for a spot at the right tackle position, before being moved back to the defensive line. In seven games that season, Farris played in seven games and totaled 120 plays on defense and special teams while collecting three tackles and 1.5 tackles-for-loss. Taylor Decker
Taylor Decker (born August 23, 1993) is an American football offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State. Early years Decker attended Butler High School in Vandalia, Ohio. He was a three-year starter for the football team as a left tackle. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and was ranked as the 23rd-best offensive tackle in his class. He originally committed to the University of Notre Dame to play college football but changed to Ohio State University. In addition to football, Decker played basketball in high school. The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. A draft pool of 1,000 eligible players was announced in 200-player installments the week before the draft. The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was a professional American football minor league. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise. Founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian in 2018, the AAF began play on February 9, 2019. The league was scheduled to have a 10-week regular season and conclude with a championship game on April 27. After eight weeks of play, however, the league's football operations were suspended by controlling owner Thomas Dundon on April 2. The 2016 NFL Draft was the 81st annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. As in 2015, the draft took place at the Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park in Chicago. The draft began on Thursday, April 28 with the first round, and ended on Saturday, April 30.
