Charuhasan
Charuhasan Srinivasan (born 5 January 1931) is an Indian actor, director and retired lawyer who has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He won the National Film Award for Best ActorSubha J Rao,Entertainment for a cause, The Hindu, 30 August 2004 and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor for the Kannada film '' Tabarana Kathe'' (1987). Charuhasan is the elder brother of veteran actor Kamal Haasan and father of Indian actress Suhasini. Early life Charuhasan was born on 5 January 1931 to lawyer and Indian independence activist D. Srinivasan and his wife Rajalakshmi. He was the eldest son of the couple and more than twenty-three years older than his youngest brother Kamal Haasan. ''Kubi Matthu Iyala'' is a 1992 Indian Kannada-language comedy drama film directed and produced by Sadanand Suvarna and written by Poornachandra Tejaswi based on his own story. The film featured Charuhasan, Raghubir Yadav, Lalithanjali and Vaishali Kasaravalli in the lead roles along with a large number of theater artistes in key supporting roles. The film's music was composed by L. Vaidyanathan and cinematography is G.S. Bhaskar. ''Uthiripookkal'' () is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language drama film, written and directed by Mahendran. Based on the short story "Chitrannai" () by Pudhumaipithan, it stars Vijayan, Ashwini and Madhu Malini. The film focuses on a sadistic man who makes life miserable for everyone in his village, including his wife and children. While adapting the short story, Mahendran made substantial changes to the screenplay, especially with the treatment of the lead character. The film was produced by his friend Radha Balakrishnan, photographed by Ashok Kumar and edited by B. Lenin in his debut, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Suhasini Maniratnam (; born 15 August 1961) is an Indian actress who works in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. ''Vedham Pudhithu'' ( ) is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and co-written by Bharathiraja. It is based on the play ''Saadhigal Illaiyadi Papa'' by K. Kannan, who wrote the film adaptation's dialogues and became known as ''Vedham Pudhithu'' Kannan. Paramakudi
Paramakudi or Paramakkudi is the largest town in the district of Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu, India, with a population of over 1,33000 as of 2024. It has been the taluk headquarters since the formation of Ramanathapuram District in 1918. Paramakudi consists of two separate settlements: Paramakudi and Emaneswaram. These settlements were classified as different towns in the census records from 1901 to 1961 before merging into the municipal present city in 1964. The area of the town is 13.45 km2.
