Charlotte Köhler Prize
Charlotte Köhler Prize is a Dutch incentive award given to young talent (under the age of 35) in visual arts and theatre. The prizes, €30,000 each, were established in 1988 in honour of the actress and is annually given by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. Visual Arts
The visual arts are art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics (art), ceramics, photography, video, image, filmmaking, design, crafts, and architecture. Many artistic disciplines such as performing arts, conceptual art, and textile arts, also involve aspects of the visual arts, as well as arts of other types. Within the visual arts, the applied arts, such as industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, and decorative art are also included. Current usage of the term "visual arts" includes fine art as well as applied art, applied or decorative arts and crafts, but this was not always the case. Guido Geelen
Guido Jozef Marie Geelen (born 5 May 1961 in Thorn, Netherlands) is a Dutch sculptor, furniture designer and ceramist, who lives and works in Tilburg.Biographical data at the Netherlands Institute for Art History. Life and work Geelen attended the Teachers' Academy in Tilburg from 1979 to 1983 and the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming Tilburg (ABV) from 1983 to 1985. After graduation, he started his own studio in Tilburg. Geelen works primarily with clay. He creates images full of contradictions: order and chaos, severely and baroque, artisanal and industrial, simple and complex, art and kitsch. Manon Uphoff
''Manon'' () is an ''opéra comique'' in five acts by Jules Massenet to a French libretto by Henri Meilhac and Philippe Gille, based on the 1731 novel '' L'histoire du chevalier des Grieux et de Manon Lescaut'' by the Abbé Prévost. It was first performed at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 19 January 1884, with sets designed by Eugène Carpezat (act 1), Auguste Alfred Rubé and Philippe Chaperon (acts 2 and 3), and Jean-Baptiste Lavastre (act 4). Prior to Massenet's work, Halévy (''Manon Lescaut'', ballet, 1830) and Auber (''Manon Lescaut'', opéra comique, 1856) had used the subject for musical stage works. Daan Roosegaarde (born 1979) is a Dutch artist, pioneer and founder of ''Studio Roosegaarde'', which develops projects that merge technology and art in urban environments. Some of the studio's works have been described as "immersive" and "interactive" because they change the visitors' surroundings in reaction to the behavior of those visitors. Marc Bijl (Leerdam, 7 July 1970) is a Dutch artist who lives and works in Berlin. His works are based upon social issues and their use of symbols and rules. This can result in interventions in the public space, sculptures or installations that undermine or underline this perception of the world. Juul Labs, Inc. (, stylized as JUUL Labs) is an American electronic cigarette company headquartered in San Francisco.
