Charles Fabian
Charles Fabian Figueiredo Santos (born 12 April 1968) is a Brazilian football manager and former player, who played as a striker. Playing career Charles Fabian was chosen for the 1989 Copa América while playing for Esporte Clube Bahia in his home state of Bahia. He was cut from the final squad days before Brazil's opening game against Venezuela, in his club's city of Salvador. The game was played in a half-full stadium, the flag of Brazil was burned and the national anthem jeered at, while flares were thrown at the Brazilian bench. Charles Fabian appreciated the support given to him, but rejected the burning of the flag. Charles Fabian was the top scorer of the 1990 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, with 11 goals. He was the second player from a Northeast Brazilian club to do so after Ramón for Santa Cruz Esporte Clube in 1973, and the feat has only been repeated since by Diego Souza for Sport Club do Recife in 2016. Sérgio Soares
Sérgio Soares da Silva (born 11 January 1967) is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Playing career Born in São Paulo, Soares began his career with hometown side Juventus, making his first team debut in 1985 and being sold to Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia in 1993. In 1996, after a short period at Guarani, he joined Palmeiras. A backup option at ''Verdão'', Soares was loaned to Japanese club Kyoto Purple Sanga for the remainder of the 1996 season. After featuring more sparingly in 1997, he still left the club and moved to Goiás, where he featured very rarely before returning to his first club Juventus. The 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 60th season of the Série A, the top level of professional football in Brazil, and the 13th edition in a double round-robin since its establishment in 2003. The season began on 15 May 2016 and ended on 11 December 2016. Fixtures for the 2016 season were announced on 25 April 2016. Palmeiras won the title, their ninth overall. Diego de Souza Andrade (born 17 June 1985), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Grêmio. In a journeyman career, he played for ten clubs in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, including nine of the Big Twelve, having begun at Fluminense in 2003. Ramón da Silva Ramos, commonly known as just Ramon (born March 12, 1950), is a former Brazilian football forward, who played in several Série A clubs. He was the top goalscorer of the Série A 1973. Playing career Ramon was born in Sirinhaém, state of Pernambuco, and started playing professionally in 1970, defending Santa Cruz, in which he played 112 games and scored 39 goals for the club, finishing as the Série A 1973 top goalscorer with 23 goals. He left the club in 1975, briefly playing for Internacional, and Sport in 1976, playing eleven Série A games and scoring three goals for the latter club. The national flag of Brazil ( pt, bandeira do Brasil), is a blue disc depicting a starry sky (which includes the Southern Cross) spanned by a curved band inscribed with the national motto "''Ordem e Progresso''" ("Order and Progress"), within a yellow rhombus, on a green field. It was officially adopted on 19 November 1889 — four days after the Proclamation of the Republic, to replace the flag of the Empire of Brazil. The concept was the work of Raimundo Teixeira Mendes, with the collaboration of Miguel Lemos, Manuel Pereira Reis and Décio Villares. The green field and yellow rhombus from the previous imperial flag were preserved (though slightly modified in hue and shape).
