Chance Bennett
Chancelor Johnathan Bennett (born April 16, 1993), known professionally as Chance the Rapper, is an American rapper. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he released his debut mixtape ''10 Day'' (2012) during one of his high school Suspension (punishment)#School discipline, suspensions. He gained mainstream recognition in 2013 following the release of his second mixtape, ''Acid Rap''. His third mixtape, ''Coloring Book (mixtape), Coloring Book'' (2016), was released to further critical acclaim and commercial success, peaking at number eight on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. At the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, Bennett won Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Best New Artist and the mixtape became the first Streaming media, streaming-only album to win a Grammy Award—Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Album—while it spawned the single "No Problem (Chance the Rapper song), No Problem" (featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne), which won Best Rap Performance. William Jones College Preparatory High School (commonly known as Jones College Prep) is a public four-year selective-enrollment high school located in the Printer's Row neighborhood in downtown Chicago, Illinois, United States. Jones is operated by the Chicago Public Schools district. Jones was named one of “America’s Best High Schools” for 2010 by ''Newsweek'' magazine. Jones ranks fourth in Illinois high schools according to U.S. News and World Report and is rated as a 10/10 high school by GreatSchools.org. Named for Chicago's first school superintendent, William Jones, the school has undergone several name changes related to its focus, from Jones Commercial High School, to Jones Metropolitan High School of Business and Commerce, to Jones Academic Magnet High School.
