Franco-Provençal (also Francoprovençal, Patois or Arpitan) is a Gallo-Romance languages, Gallo-Romance language that originated and is spoken in eastern France, western Switzerland, and northwestern Italy. Franco-Provençal has several distinct dialects and is separate from but closely related to neighbouring Romance languages, Romance dialects (the langues d'oïl and the Occitan language, langues d'oc, in France, as well as Rhaeto-Romance languages, Rhaeto-Romance in Switzerland and Italy). Turin–Lyon High-speed Railway
The Turin–Lyon high-speed railway is an international rail line under construction between the cities of Turin and Lyon, which is intended to link the Italian and French high-speed rail networks. It will be long, of which over will be tunneled. The core of the project is its long international section, which will cross the Alps through the Mont d'Ambin Base Tunnel between the Susa Valley in Piedmont and Maurienne in Savoie. At , that tunnel will be the longest rail tunnel in the world, ahead of the Gotthard Base Tunnel. Lac Du Bourget
Lac du Bourget (; English Lake Bourget), also locally known as Lac Gris (; ) or Lac d'Aix (), is a lake at the southernmost end of the Jura Mountains in the department of Savoie, France. It is the deepest lake located entirely within France, and either the largest or second largest after Lac de Grand-Lieu depending on season. The largest town on its shore is Aix-les-Bains. Chambéry, the capital of Savoie, lies about 10 km south of the lake. The lake is mainly fed by the river Leysse (and other small rivers), and it drains towards the river Rhône through the Canal de Savières, an artificial channel. It is a Ramsar site.
