Centro Comercial Santafé
The Centro Comercial Santafé () is a mall located in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the fourth largest shopping mall in Colombia (the largest is Centro Mayor in Bogotá), and the fifth in Latin America, surpassed by Leste Aricanduva Mall in São Paulo, Brazil. Opened on May 13, 2006. It is in area. The mall has 485 shops, including an open foodcourt with 26 restaurants that has a seating for 1,500 persons. The mall also has 10 cinemas, 3,200 parking stalls, and an auditorium. The mall is in the neighborhood of Suba, which is in northeastern Bogotá on the North Highway on 183 street. The mall has access by bus from the municipalities surrounding the city and along the route system of TransMilenio from the Portal North, "2.1 Mirandela." Centro Mayor is a shopping mall located in the south of Bogotá, Colombia. It was inaugurated on March 26, 2010. The mall has 248,000 m2 (2,667,000 sq ft) of built area, being the biggest mall in Colombia and the second one in Latin America, behind the Centro Comercial Aricanduva, in São Paulo, Brazil. TransMilenio
TransMilenio is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that serves Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, and Soacha, a neighbouring city. The system opened to the public in December 2000. As of 2024, 12 lines totalling run throughout the city. It is part of the city's Integrated Public Transport System (Bogotá), Integrated Public Transport System (''Sistema Integrado de Transporte Público'' [SITP]), along with the urban, complimentary, and special bus services operating on neighbourhood and main streets. TransMilenio consists of several interconnected BRT lines, with raised floor stations in the center of a main avenue, or "''troncal''". Passengers typically reach the stations via a bridge over the street. Usually four lanes down the center of the street are dedicated to bus traffic. Frisby is a Colombian fried chicken restaurant chain founded by Alfredo Hoyos Mazuera on June 12, 1977. Frisby was founded in Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. It started as a pizzeria; however, later its owners decided to finally go into the fried chicken market. Pioneering the fried chicken market in the country and bringing to Colombia the moniker for the dish, broaster chicken. The owner has claimed that the company name, Frisby, comes from the technique of spinning pizza dough in the air, which makes it resemble a Frisbee disk. In 1978 they started opening new places in the Coffee axis. In 1987 the first shop in Bogotá was opened and the same thing happened in Medellín in 1990.
