Central Alabama Community College (CACC) is a public community college in Alexander City, Alabama, United States. The college enrolls over 1,500 students and has been accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1969. , the college has two campuses: the Alexander City Campus and the Childersburg Campus, and two instructional centers: the Talladega Center and the Pratt's Mill Center in Prattville. George Corley Wallace
George Corley Wallace Jr. (August 25, 1919 – September 13, 1998) was an American politician who was the 45th and longest-serving governor of Alabama (1963–1967; 1971–1979; 1983–1987), and the longest-serving governor from the Democratic Party. Wallace is remembered for his staunch segregationist and populist views although in the late 1970s he moderated his views on race, renouncing his support for segregation.
