Cedar Lake (Manitoba)
Cedar Lake is a lake just north of Lake Winnipegosis in Manitoba, Canada. Cedar Lake's water level is controlled by the Hydroelectric Development in Easterville, Chemawawin, Grand Rapids Dam. The town of Grand Rapids, Manitoba, Grand Rapids and the First Nations in Canada, First Nations town of Easterville, Manitoba, Easterville are nearby. The lake is known to have excellent examples of prehistoric amber fossil of cretaceous age. This type of amber is called as "Chemawinit", according to an Indian tribe which lives in this area. Another name of this amber is "Cedarit". This amber contains many organic inclusions. To date, these inclusions have not been thoroughly researched. The lake's main source is the Saskatchewan River, which forms a River delta, delta on the northwest side of the lake. Cedar Lake Speedway is a 3/8 mile dirt clay oval race track located near New Richmond / Somerset, Wisconsin. Named after the nearby Cedar Lake, it hosts a weekly NASCAR racing program consisting of Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Midwest Modifieds. It also hosts multi day events such as "The Masters," "The USA Nationals," "The Legendary 100," and the "Triple Crown." There is an Indoor Motocross facility and 1/5 mile dirt oval, Cedar Lake Arena, located directly behind the track. Cedar Lake Trail is a , shared-use path in the U.S. state of Minnesota, from downtown Minneapolis to the neighboring suburb of St. Louis Park. The trail begins at its eastern trailhead in downtown Minneapolis and continues west to Minnesota State Highway 100 in St. Louis Park At the trail's west end, a paved path continues for another through St. Louis Park to Hopkins under the former name of Hutchinson Spur Trail ("Hutch Spur"), but known as North Cedar Lake Regional Trail since 2009. Polk is a town in Washington County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,938 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Ackerville, Cedar Creek, Cedar Lake, Diefenbach Corners, Mayfield, and Rugby Junction are located in the town. The town derives its name from James K. Cedar Lake is a town in Barron County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,076 at the 2020 census, up from 948 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated communities of Angus and Mikana are located in the town. History The Ojibwa were among the first to inhabit the area.
